Under the leadership of Nicolas Di Salvo and his co-founders, MOMO Running was launched in 2024 as a tech-driven platform redefining how runners train, compete, and connect.

Developed to bring verified results and global reach to virtual races, MOMO combines hardware checkpoints, wearable sensors, and a mobile app to create a seamless running experience anywhere in the world.

Just like a race route is marked with checkpoints, clarity and structure define MOMO’s visual identity.

A bold red-chosen for its energy, urgency, and determination became the core colour of the brand. This powerful hue is supported by a minimal monochrome palette and real-world runner imagery to maintain focus, contrast, and momentum across all touch points.

Being my first experience operating in a start-up environment, I quickly had to adapt to a fast-paced and high-pressure setting. Collaborating with professionals across departments, particularly in marketing and sales, sharpened my ability to work cross-functionally and solve problems through design.

This experience sparked my interest in app and software design, and helped me understand how different perspectives shape product development. It also strengthened my communication and creative thinking when facing shifting priorities and limited resources.

Working with Andrea has been a turning point for MOMO. He didn’t just design he understood the product, the users, and the story we were trying to tell. From the early MVP phase to our current investor materials, Andrea brought clarity and originality to every visual decision. His work gave MOMO a bold identity that stands out in a crowded space, and his speed and attention to detail made him a key part of our execution.
